ノートPC用の冷却装置、ELECOM SX-CL02MSVを買いました♪

先月、購入した Type T の底面が低温やけどしそうなぐらいに発熱しているので、熱対策のためにノートPC用の冷却グッズを購入してきました。ハードディスクは熱に弱く、その熱によってハードディスクの寿命が短くなることは周知の事実ですよね♪

ノートPC用の冷却グッズにはゲル冷却シートや鉄製のアルミパッドをノートPCの底面に敷いて冷却するタイプのものがありますが、今回は最も強力、且つ効率的と思われる強力送風型の冷却装置を買いました。これは、ノートパソコンの下に置いて風を送る簡易な扇風機みたいなものです。

以下が本装置を取り付けた状態です。本装置は、USBバスパワーなので、ノートPCから電源を供給する事ができます。僕は持ち歩かないけど、持ち歩きにも便利かもしれないですね。

横から見ると、やや高さがあってキーボードが打ちにくくなるので、薄い本などを下に敷いて高さを調節したほうが良いですね。

では、実際に本装置を使うことで、どの程度の効果があるのかを調べてみました。といっても、Type Tは何故かHDDのS.M.A.R.T情報が取得できないようになっているため、ここでは CoreTemp というCPUの温度を測定するソフトウェアを使って温度変化の推移をみてみました。

まず、Type Tを起動して5分後の温度を測定してみました。なにも操作しない状態で約60℃でした。そして、インターネットを閲覧する事でCPUに負荷をかけてみると一気に約67℃付近にまで達してしまいました…。あ、熱い…（笑）。使用状況によっては、70度を超えることもしばしば。

次に、Type Tの下に本装置を設置し､送風したときの温度を測定してみました。パソコンにかける負荷は、インターネットの閲覧のみです。すると、温度は58℃～60℃ぐらいになり、起動してからなにも操作しない状態と同じ温度にまで熱を下げる事ができました。つまり、この装置を使う事で約10℃、温度が下がったことになります。

しかし、これだけでは満足がいかないので、近くにあった扇風機で強さを「弱」にして上側からも Type T に風をあててみました。すると今度は、温度が一気に40℃台にまで下がりました。パソコンの底面に手を押し当ててみると、体感温度的にほとんど熱を感じないぐらいまで冷やされた状態になりました。うんうん、これぐらいの温度なら満足です☆

結論！！
ノートPCを冷やすには、本装置だけではやや不十分で、さらに上から微風を送ってあげる事で最大限の効果が得られます！また、室内の温度をクーラーで冷やすだけでも効果が現れますので、本当に徹底したい人は、「本装置＋扇風機＋クーラー」の組み合わせが1番最強ということになりますねっ！

まぁ、実際にはこの装置だけでも十分だと思いますけどね。
よし！これで、これからはハードディスクの温度を気にせずに、布団の上に直にパソコンを置くことができる！！わーいわーい！

I bought a cooling device for laptop called "ELECOM SX-CL02MSV".

Since the bottom of "Type T" which I bought last month is very hot to the extent that it's likely to burn by low temperature,I bought cooling goods for heat provision of the laptop.It is well-known that hard disk drive(HDD) is too weak for heat and by the heat,the life span of it shorten.

In the matter of cooling goods for laptop,there is gel cooling sheet type or iron aluminum type which is underlayed the bottom of PC ,but this time I bought a cooling device blowing the wind powerfully,which seemed the most strong and efficient.This is like a simple fan which blow the wind while putting it under the bottom of PC.

The following photograph indicates the state which this device is set.Since this device is received device power over the USB bus,it can provide power supply over laptop.I don't think that I would carry it usually,but it might be convenient to carry it.

When seen from side,it has a little height and it become difficult for me to type the keyboard,and then you'd better adjust the height by laying a thin book under the laptop,etc.

OK now,by using this device,I examined which extent it was effective.But since I couldn't get S.M.A.R.T(Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) infomation from "Type T",I used the software called "CoreTemp" which could examine the temperature of CPU.And I exmined the process of changing temperature.

First thing,after "Type T" started,I examined the temperature of CPU after 5 minutes.its temperature was 60 degrees while not operated at all.Next,when I added a load to CPU by seeing the Internet,its temperature went up to about 67 degrees immediately. Ouch!...very hot!!　Depending on usage condition,the temprature often exceeded 70 degrees.

Next,I set this device under "Type T" and examined the temprature when blowing the wind.A load added to PC is only to see the Internet.Then,its temperature dropped to about 58℃-60℃,and it means the temperature of the state which not operated at all after it was booted.In brief,by using this device,the temperature dropped at about 10 degrees.

But since I'm not satisfied with only this,I blowed the wind to "Type T" from above after I set the strength of the fan to "weakness".Then,this time the temperature dropped to 40-something degrees immediately.When I put my hand to the bottom of PC,it had been cold to the extent that I hadn't hardly feel the heat in the sensory temperature. OK OK,if it is a temperature of this.I'm satisfied.

Conclusion!!
To cool laptop,it is a little insufficient only by using this device.Moreover by blowing the wind from above,it can achieve a maximun of efficiency.And it is effective to cool the room by the air conditioner,too.If you want to cool the laptop thoroughly,the combination of "this device and fan and A/C" is the best of all!

Well,but I actually think that even only this device is enough.
Good! From now on,I can put the laptop directly on my bed without concerning about the HDD temperature.

昨日、「秋の童話」の子役・シネを演じていたイ・エジョンさんが、19歳という若さで脳腫瘍によって他界しました…。今年の6月に「秋の童話」を見たばっかりなだけに他人事とは思えないほどびっくりしました。本当に残念です。天国に行っても元気で暮らしているといいな♪
